This is Patrick the Wavehog's Blog. I just thought it would be fun to walk around and say, "I have a Blog!". But, I do update a couple times each week and talk about life and my family. So, check back often. P
I spent my weekdn putting together bunk beds for the boys. I also painted the room and hung some new shevles and decor in their room. It was a was a big pain, but it looks nice. I hate doing stuff like that but it was time to change up their rooms.
Every year my family gets together and plays bingo. We have prizes for everyone and it's an all around fun time. For some reasons we started singing that song who let the dogs out everytime someone got bingo. Needless to say, after 5 years it has stuck. We now have it down to a science. I have the song on my IPOD ready to play the chorus right when someone yells "BINGO!".
It's been a really long time since I have posted. I think I just got bored with writing and I haven't had time to sit and type.
I just bought the motherload of fireworks for tommorrow. The 4th of July will be lit up aroundmy house tommorrow night when it starts gettign dark. I drove to South Carolina to buy fireworks that you cannot get in NC. We also have a great view of the local fireworks display at the county park, so we should have a lot of fun tommorrow.
Last year today a guy my age at church lost his wife in a car accident. It was really sad. She was a wonderful woman and a great wife and mom. He now takes sole care of their little girl. She is a sweetheart. I admire him alot. He seems so strong. I know he hurts alot and i am sure today is very tough for him. I pray God will contiinue to comfort him and see him through this tough day. But, I know part of him can celebrate because she was a lover of Jesus and knew her enternal desination is to walk the streets of gold worshipping and praising Jesus our King.
Sorry I haev not blogged in a few weeks. Things have been crazy. Grace had her kindergarden graduation a few weeks ago. The kids are enjoying the summer. We all went swimming this past weekend and the kids pretty much live outside all day now. I hope to get back into the habit of blogging a couple times a week again.
While working in the yard last night I heard Garrett talking to himself. He was picking up rocks for as I was seeding some new grass in a new part of my backyard. He was picking up the biggest rocks he could carry to the wheelbarrel and saying, "I think I can, I think I can". It was really funny. He has been wanting laurel and i to read him the Little Engine That Could, where the train says that while pulling a hill.
I was watching playoff basketball last night and saw this commercial again. It is so stinkin funny to me. Check it out. It plays in the browser and is a quick view.
