Sick Kids Stink

The only thing that feels worse than being sick is having to watch your kids be sick. My son was sick ALL day yesterday with this nasty throwing up stuff. It has been going around the schools, churches and communities for months now, and this is his 2nd round of it. I had it as well about 3 months ago and it was aweful. I hate having to throw up. I would rather eat worms than throw up. I would rather run 10 miles than throw up. I would rather...well, you get the point.
My son is such a cute kid. (Really he is. I am not just saying that because he is mine.) So, to see him so weak and sick it really is a terrible sight to see. He does seem to perk up quite a bit though when Spider Man come on TV.
If you have had a sick kid before you know what I am talking about. I think he is making a turn for the better this morning. Keep all of in your paryers. Because the only thing my wife hates more than a sick kid, is a sick Patrick!

Steve Francis is Gone

I saw today where my Orlando Magic traded Stevie Francis. I say, "SO LONG!". Francis is a great athlete and I loved watching him played at Maryland. But, this past year playing for the Magic his stock went way down. They guy refused to go into the end of a game when Coach Hill asked him too. WHAT!? I mean what in the work is that all about? He gets paid millions upon millions to play ball 80 games a year and he won't go into the game for the last few minutes! That is absolutely ridiculous. Any professional athlete with an attitude like that at any point in their career is way down on my list. I'm sure Francis is a great guy off the court and he will continue to make spectacular dunks and plays for the New York Knicks, but come on man! Play ball and quit your whining attitude.
GO MAGIC!

Kermit

KERMIT THE FROG LOVES HIM A HYBRID!

What? I can post to my blog by email now?

Pretty sweet! I just found out that I can post to my blog by just sending an email! It's amazing the stupid things I can get excited about.

Relax. Yahoo! Mail virus scanning helps detect nasty viruses!

Speedskating gone wild

I was just reading this article online about the Olympics and how these two speedskaters from the US were feuding with each other. It was amazing how stupid it was. They place 2nd and 3rd and never even shook hands or congratulated each other. The are both from the US! What in the world is that all about? But really, who cares about speedskating aways? I love to skate, but to watch some guys go around and around in a circle as fast as they can on ice seems boring to me. I guess the same could be saif for NASCAR (which I can't stand). At least in NASCAR they crash and run each other off the track.
Go team USA.

AUDIOBLOGGER.com

Audiologger.com is probably the coolest thing I have seen on the internet in a while...we at least the last few days. You can record audio versions of your blog and have them put on your blogger.com site. Since I was a radio guy anyways, this is perfect for me. I will try and upload an audioblog each week. Just click on the link and it will play for you. If you have high speed internet it takes little or no time to start playing too!

My trip to Florida...part 2

I forgot to mention what a great time my family had in Florida. Laurel and I took Grace and Garrett. Here's a picture of them one morning with Nick and Kara's girls, Kali and Caroline. We stayed with Nick and Kara over the weekend at their house in O-Town.

My trip to Florida

I just got back last night from Florida. I spent a few days with some friends. My family and I had a great time. It was funny to go back to my old high school and see old friends and play basketball in the gym I grew up in. I loved that place. I spent so many hours in their shooting jumpshots and playing ball. But more than anything I love all the memories I have from the time I spent there. All the friends I made and still keep up with. Playing basketball was a huge part of my life, but now the friendships and fun I had there means more to me than anything else. I will say though that a nice dunk in the old gym would have been fun.
I'm out!
